Airoli Sector 2
Like in the case of the schemes under the LISP built on the mainland of Mumbai, in Airoli too we find a pre-determined cataloque of dwelling types and sizes that measured between 21 to 28 square metres for the EWS, 40 square metres for the LIG, 60 square metres for the MIG, and 100 square metres for the HIG. Within the EWS category we find three plot types and sizes: Plot Type A-1 is the most basic of these tvpes and measures roughly 3 metres by 7 metres but consists only of a raised plinth and a wet core that comprises a water closet (WC) at the rear end of the plan. Plot Type A-2 is slightly wider and measures 7 metres by 3.5 metres overall that unlike its more basic version, was also delivered with brick walls but without a roof. The third and largest type for this category, Type A-3, was designed with the widest footprint of the three types at roughly 7 metres by 4 metres, and was provided as a 'complete dwelling unit comprising of a raised plinth, wet core, brick walls and a corrugated metal roof.
